Why IBEW Local 18, Is Standing With Me — And You Should Too

I am proud to announce I’ve earned the endorsement of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 18!

Local 18 represents over 9,500 employees working for five public sector employers. While most of their members are utility workers of one craft or another, they are also electrical workers, clerical, engineers, custodians, and tree trimmers, stretching from Boulder City, Nevada to Long Beach to the Oregon border.

"Sara Hernandez has been a strong ally for working families through her work on the community college board. At IBEW Local 18, we know how important it is to have leaders who support training and apprenticeships that prepare workers for good-paying, safe jobs-- especially in the utility and energy sectors. Sara UNDERSTANDS that upgrading California's power infrastructure is critical for a sustainable future. We're proud to back her as she takes these priorities to the State Senate."

Martin Marrufo, Business Manager/Financial Secretary IBEW, Local 18

This endorsement highlights the type of campaign we’re running — one built on fierce labor protections and honoring living wages.

With your continued support, I will protect the hardworking families of our great city.
